Albert “Bert” Miller III Obituary

       Albert Edward Miller III (“Bert”), 68, of Chesterton, Indiana, passed away on February 8, 2026.

       He was born in Gary, Indiana to Albert II and Alverissa Miller and lived in Chesterton all of his life. He had a successful career as a financial advisor and valued his relationships with his clients. He enjoyed biking, golf, pickleball, vintage cars, and model airplanes.

       Bert is survived by his wife Katherine Miller and children Alexandra (Nick) Guzik, Albert IV (Kirstyn) Miller, Madelaine (Andrew) Smith, and Mary Miller; and his cherished grandchildren August, Alden, and Arthur Guzik; Genevieve, Theodore, and Sophie Miller; and Mila Smith. He is also survived by three sisters and many nieces and nephews. 

       He passed away very shortly after a sudden diagnosis of an aggressive brain cancer. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. 

       A visitation will be held at White-Love Funeral Home in Chesterton on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 2-4 pm. To support the family in a comfortable and casual environment, feel free to wear your favorite sport team’s gear or colors. Bert loved to cheer on the Purdue Boilermakers and the Chicago Bears. 

       In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hilltop Neighborhood House (hilltophouse.org), or another charity of your choice, to honor Bert’s memory.
